Tuesday 27 January 2026 3FW Weekly Learning w/e 23/01/26 This week in year 3 the children have been learning about adverbs and how to put these into a double ly sentence.
Tuesday 27 January 2026 3MG Weekly Learning w/e 23/01/26 In RE, we learnt more about the kingdom of God. We looked through newspapers to find examples of where people are helping to establish the kingdom, right now here on earth! We discussed what actions we can take to follow these examples.
Tuesday 20 January 2026 3FW Weekly Learning w/e 16/01/26 In Art, the children have been looking at sculptures. Before sculpting our own god or goddess heads, we made sketches to decide on our chosen god or goddess' features, expressions and headwear.
Tuesday 20 January 2026 3MG Weekly Learning w/e 16/01/26 In Maths, we were dividing by 4 using cubes, arrays and bar models. We solved word problems. Some of us carried out an investigation to find out whether you can use doubling and halving to help you find multiples of 4.

We thought carefully about how we could ensure everyone reflected on the theme we had chosen and how we could share the chosen Bible reading with the class.

Tuesday 16 December 2025 3FW Weekly Learning w/e 12/12/25 This week in 3FW the children have been writing our narratives about the Stone Age Boy, trying to include fronted adverbials, 2A sentences, paired conjunctions and emotion words.
Tuesday 16 December 2025 3MG Weekly Learning 12/12/25 In RE this week, we explored more prophecies about Jesus, specifically Micah 5:2. We looked at paintings of Bethlehem and were inspired to create our own images of Bethlehem, choosing different features of Jesus' birth shared Luke's Gospel."

Friday 21 November 2025 3MG Weekly Learning w/e 21/11/25 In RE this week, we learnt about the prophet Isaiah and how he showed the people of Judah how important it was to follow God. We wrote letters pretending to be Isaiah to the King of Judah telling him about the important prophecy of Jesus being born.

Friday 14 November 2025 3FW Weekly Learning w/e 14/11/25 This week in forest school the children learnt about how the veins and capillaries transport water around a leaf. The children examined leaves carefully to look for the veins and capillaries and traced these.
